The first loan applicant in phase 2 successfully received her supplies from the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed between the 5 Community Mine Continuation Agreement (CMCA) women groups and MiBank.
Barbra Uako Keai from Mipan village under the Middle Fly Trust Region successfully received her stationery supplies from the Niugini Pride Stationary shop last Tuesday, 13th August after meeting the MOA requirements. Mrs. Keai got supplies worth K15, 000 from this arrangement.
This event was witnessed by the Middle Fly Momen and Childrens Association executives, Miss Charlotte Mathews and Mrs Kurina Aioge, Ok Tedi Development Foundation (OTDF) staff members, MiBank Kiunga Branch Operations Manager, Mr. George Laka, family of Mrs Keai and other general public.
Meantime the other 24 loan applicants will follow with their stock collection from various suppliers in Kiunga after successfully processing their applications and in compliance with MiBank’s requirements and the MOA guidlines.
This SME loan program with MiBank is in its second phase after seizing phase 1 MOA with National Development Bank.
