
The Rotarian Against Malaria(RAM) quarterly CMV supervisory visit to the existing CMV treatment sites in Kunini, Daru rural and parts of seberibamu catchment areas.
This activity will be integrated with health promotions targeting Malaria and Routine immunization awareness massages.
Brian Ambrias from UNICEF and Julie from Rotary Against Malaria (RAM) will be taking the trip together as partners to support health system strengthening in western PHA to carryout the plan activity.
This activity is in line with Western PHAs’ aims and objectives to reduce malaria and promote the importance of vaccination among communities. The activity will include:
- Individual assessment on the performance of CMVs
- Stock count on Malaria Commodities and replenishment on stock out items
- Collect monthly data’s for Malaria
- Conduct IPC skills refresher for CMVs and meeting with men/women groups to gain their support for RI/ ACSM activities in south fly district
- And using the rumour tracking tool to collect any misinformation and barriers to immunization and malaria, information collected will be shared with the public health team to decide on possible solutions and strategies to improve our interventions.
Villages are urged to prepare for the actual Patrol, which will be conducted on the 25th – 31st of October to ensure better co-operation and support shown by the community.
Therefore, women, community, and church leaders from respective villages and Malaria CMVs must be ready to meet with the team.
