A local landowner company based in Kiunga, Lotic Bige Limited(LBL) has handed back an ambulance vehicle belonging to Ningerum Health Center last Friday, after being in a minor road accident with LBL vehicle somewhere along Kiunga-Tabubil highway.
The ambulance vehicle belonging to Ningerum Health Center ran in a minor minor accident earlier this year with an LBL vehicl1e and based on the damages caused, LBL as a local company came up with an agreement with the Ningerum Health Center to service the vehicle and carry out maintenance work on the vehicle.
LBL at its own expense serviced the vehicle and did proper registration and all the required stickers for the vehicle to be back on the road.
Chief Executive Officer for LBL, Mr. Anthony Amerasinghe said, As LBL is a local company and Ningerum coming under Lower Ok Tedi Trust Region, the company came in and assisted with the vehicle registration and the company also carried out maintenance work and replaced new tyre sets, replaced the broken windows and did panel beating.
” It took the company alot of time and expense as the ambulance vehicle was not properly registered and I had to go to Port Moresby and register the vehicle with Motor Vehicle Insurance Limited(MVIL) and put on safety stickers” Amerasinghe said
North Fly District Health Manager, Mr Roddy Ukin thanked LBL for the continuous support towards the North Fly District Health Authority.
Present at the hand over ceremony was Sr. Bidawa Amoko, Sister-In-Charge and Avenon Deknong, CHW and Ambulance Driver of Ningerum Health Center, North Fly District Health Manager, Mr. Rody, Ukin, President for Ningerum LLG, Mr. Keane Kukinai and management staff of LLG at the LBL yard.
Meantime, Mr. Amerasinghe further stated to work alongside the North Fly District Health Authority (NFDHA) and Kiunga District Hospital as LBL also has a clinic practicing as Western Medical Center in Kiunga.
